The Adelaide Bellringers

Welcome to the Home-Page of the Adelaide Bellringers.

We are the volunteers who ring the bells in Adelaide's 5 Bell-Towers.
The bells are rung in the English change-ringing style and weigh from 200kg up to 2000kg. We ring them for church services, weddings and civic events, as well as having regular practice sessions during the week.

Upcoming Events150th Anniversary of St.Peter's Cathedral

On June 29th this year, St.Peter's Day, it will be the 150th anniversary of the laying of the foundation stone of St.Peter's Cathedral.

As part of the celebrations of this event, a band of ringers from the UK and Australia will attempt to ring 10080 changes of Stedman Triples. This marathon effort will be the longest performance ever attempted on these bells, and will take the band of 8 ringers (one per bell) over 7 hours, with no breaks.
